It was great to get the On Point Free Agent League back up and running again with the Combine last night. A few rookies made their first appearance in the league and a few veterans made their return after a break from last season. Here are 5 takeaways from the combine.

#1 - Trevor Mann is back

Long-time Advanced Point Guard, Trevor Mann (The North) is back in town and getting ready for a return in the Advanced League. The southpaw decided to join the On Point league to help with getting his body back into game shape for summer.  Despite a hiatus from the game he looked good in the full court scrimmages and drills. Expect him to go 1st or 2nd Round.

#2 - Matthew "Texas Ranger" Walker name change...

Well, maybe we need to change that to Matthew "Mikan" Walker as Walker set the high score for the Mikan drill with 19 baskets in 30 seconds. Walker edged Andre Hickling (18) and Gabriel Ferreira (18) in the challenge.

#3 - D'Andre Hospedales is back

Hospedales is back after missing last season. Hospedales who will likely go Top 3 in the draft showed no rust in his return to the league. If there's any On Point = NBA comparison, it's Paul George.

#4 - Jeff Asiamah is quick!

Asiamah smoked the competition in the agility drill with a time of 10.26 getting around the cones quickly and of course making the shot. 2nd place goes to Clayton Conway (12.45) and rookie James Saravanamuttu (12.46)

#5 - The Colorado boys can ball

Bobby Colorado put on a shooting display in last night's combine finishing 1st in the "Around The World" drill with 16 points and from the free throw line going 9/10.  In the Around the World shooting drill, Colorado edged veteran Cham Sangar (15), rookie Japrell Morgan (14) and Kyle William Edwards (14). In free throw shooting, Colorado tied Akai Nettey with 90% shooting. Rahul De'Golder, Trevor Mann and Gabriel Ferreira all tied for 3rd place with 80% shooting. Colorado is brothers with former MB All-Star Jose Colorado who is currently a professional basketball player in El Salvador.

Stay tuned for the draft order, jersey reveal and draft results as the GM's will select their players this week. We will share the news on Instagram so make sure to follow @megacitybasketball.

We're looking forward to the season tip-off on February 25th!

Thanks to Drew (On Point) and all staff (RJ, AJ, Ahsan, Clay, Cham and Mark) for all of their help.
