There was some great action and plays last night during Week 2 of the Comp Tuesday season. Lets take a closer look at what happened on the night;

7pm – Hong Shing (2-0) 67 Vs Sharks (1-1) 54

The defending champs came out to make a statement against one of the toughest teams in the league in this one. This game was hotly contested throughout, and some a couple arguments take place as the game wore on.  Both teams are very familiar with one another and have had some tough battles in the past. Hong Shing eventually pulled away late with some timely shooting and a minor meltdown by the Sharks. The Sharks will look to get revenge for a below standard performance in their next meeting.

8pm – New Era (1-0) 74 Vs. Uptown (1-1) 53

New Era made their season debut this week after having a bye week 1 and did not disappoint. They came out hungry to start the game, and jumped on Uptown early. Uptown were unable to recover from their slow first half, and New Era eventually ran away with it in the 2nd half. A strong presence on the offensive and defensive glass allowed New Era to be in fill control throughout the night.

9pm – Gladiators (1-1) 59 Vs. Regeneration X (0-2) 44

In the final game of the night, we saw Gladiators take down Regeneration X for their first win on the year with a solid team game. Regeneration were plagued with poor shooting and turnovers in the first half, which allowed Gladiators to take control of the game early and bring a 10 pt lead into the half. It was much of the same in the 2nd half, where we saw Gladiators push their lead as high as 24. Regeneration has been inconsistent to start the season, and have plenty of time to turn it around to secure a playoff spot.
