Congratulations to the Trojans for claiming the Mill St Sunday championship! Their hard work all season paid off and they captured what slipped from their grasp last season.

The Trojans started the game with a dominant 12-0 run. They were moving the ball beautifully and everyone was hitting their shots. However, MPC did not let them dominate for much longer. After a timeout, they came out and brought the heat. They responded with their own run and things got a little scrappy.

Towards the end of the first half, two players got in a scuffle which resulted in the benches clearing and a dogpile in the middle of the court. This set the mood for the rest of the game, and from then on it was a battle of attrition. Going into the final ten minutes, both teams didn’t show any signs of slowing down, until MPC unfortunately got into big foul trouble. Two of their powerhouses, Daniel Tulloch and Yonathan Kristos were fouled out of the game and the Trojans took full advantage of that. In the final 5 minutes, the Trojans lead went from 4 to 14. MPC could not keep up with the Trojans physicality and speed, and ultimately the Trojans were crowned champions.

The performer of the game goes to Ancil Martin. He put up a big double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. He was also a key part of their opening run and ending run, which secured them the championship.

Once again congratulations to the Trojans for taking the championship! Hats off as well to MPC for making a great run in the playoffs.
