Early on it really looked like Grind Time was on their way to repeating as On Point champions. Grind Time controlled the pace of the game and led by 10 at the half. In the 2nd half, it was all The Health Institute as they outscored Grind Time by 15 points. It was rookie Jamoi Smith who led all scorers with 28 points and 6 rebounds in the win. Martin Cruz scored 15 points to go along with 3 assist and 5 dimes. Grind Time's Shaquille St. Paul played a great game scoring 23 points on 9/14 and D'Andre Hospedales finished with 21 in the loss.

Breaking down the boxscore, nothing is surprising. We expected Grind Time to rebound the ball a lot better and they did. We expected THI to get to the line more often and they did. Looking at field goal percentage, they're almost identical. The obvious difference in the game was the tremendous run THI put together in the 2nd half and Grind Time simply didn't have an answer for it. A great season for Grind Time, but they fall short in their quest for a repeat. Congratulations to The Health Institute for winning their 1st ever championship!
