What Went Down

With just 2 weeks left in the regular season, games become more and more crucial to win especially for those teams trying to chase for positioning. Wednesday featured two games that were important for a couple teams, and more of finishing up before playoffs for others. While there were blowouts this week, it still featured some good individual performances for all teams competing.

Hitmen VS Grind Time

This game was off the rails from the start as ejections and a tight whistle didn't help the Hitmen from dropping a big game against the top seeded Grind Time Wednesday night. Grind Time was hot from the field from the start, and got solid contributions from guys like Alex Narain, and D'Andre Hospedales who dropped 17 and 15 points respectively, while Alex Hagoriles scored a game high 27 points while shooting 10-13 from the field. Hitmen got buried from deep by Grind Time, and Grind Time's ball movement and perimeter passing lead to great looks from deep.

Monarchs VS Lights Out

Monarchs were on a roll heading into their match up with Lights Out, but drop this contest in a close one 99-94. A big factor was turnovers and to start off the game where the Monarchs got trapped and forced into throwing the ball away, either out of bounds or into a defenders hands. Monarchs did a good job fighting back but those  early troubles didn't help ease the pain, and Lights Out guard Veltman had a career night putting up a solid 48 points as he carried his team for most of the night into the win.
