Classick kicked off Week 3 with a 66-53 win over OneTen. It was a balanced effort with 4 players scoring in double digits. Classick managed to take 16 more field goal attempts largely in part to their rebounding edge on the glass, 37-17. The shorthanded Grind Time took down the Top Boys in a close one.  Hospedales led all players with 27 points and new acquisition St. Paul added 22 in his debut. In the 3rd game, we saw THI roll to an easy victory over Crane TO. Neither team shot well from the field but THI’s ability to get to the line was the difference. Paul led all players with 19 points. In the final game, Swish Squad really took it to Boom handing them their first loss of the season. Swish Squad shot over 50% from the field with Russell scoring 29 and Williams contributing with 24.

Crane TO ships #1 pick Craig Hanson to OneTen Basketball

In a shocking turn of a events, Crane TO’s General Manager Willy Phan shipped #1 pick and former MVP Craig Hanson along with Michael Del Rosario to OneTen Basketball in exchange for Tevin Goodridge and Justin Jacques. Rookie GM Mark Ramos needed to change things up and on paper, OneTen looks great. Crane TO felt the need to switch things up as well and while they lose arguably the best all-around player, they do get 2 guys that may fit their existing roster a little better.

Rookie Report

David Reid, Rashon Russell, Jamal Williams, Jamoi Smith and Fahad Khan have looked impressive through 3 games. Still way too early to tell who is the front-runner for the award.

MVP Report

All signs had pointed towards Da Silva and Penola has being the Top 2 but with their recent loss to Swish Squad I think it’s all up in the air.

Penny is back!

Regarded as the best defender in the league, opposing offenses can’t be happy that Garey Drummond aka Penny is back. In his return, Drummond had 16-8-4-2-1. Welcome back!

Early Bird Registration

Yes, it may feel like summer is a long time from now but just a reminder that Early Bird Registration will begin on March 1st. Make sure to sign up to avoid disappointment as dozens of players did not register on time for this current season.
