Game Story

Into the third week of Wednesday Competitive and some teams are starting to figure things out, while other are struggling out of the gate. The third week is a good time for evaluation and to see the direction teams are going in. The Hitmen have dropped their first 2 games of the season, and their second loss coming at the hands of a talented Monarchs team that took them to school. Grind Time however looked like they have not lost a step and they picked up another big and convincing win against Fully Loaded 71-54. Lights Out meanwhile picked up their first win of the season, defeating the Scarlem Globetrotters 92-48 behind a tremendous scoring performance from Tre Eli.

Hitmen Vs Scarlem (Game time 8:00pm)

The Hitmen are notorious for starting seasons off slow and this season is no different. But around this time last season or the season before when they went on to win a title, they would find their footing and identity and make a giant run to the finals. A win against a hungry Scarlem looking for a win of their own, would be a good starting point for the Hitmen to start to win some games and gain some of that confidence back. Look for the Hitmen to come out swinging early.

Fully Loaded vs Lights Out (Game time 9:00pm)

Both these teams feel like they have something to prove as they play for the Wednesday Competitive League for the first time, and with Lights Out picking up a big win last week against Scarlem, they have some motivation and momentum against Fully Loaded. Fully Loaded will have to center their defense around stopping Tre Elis, who is by far one of the top players this season.

Grind Time vs Monarchs (Game time 10:00pm)

A matchup that features two top teams in this division, and two teams that are both undefeated so far in this young season.  This is a big test for the Monarchs who are fighting to be the best this Season, and getting over a big hurdle like Grind Time is no easy task. The Monarchs will have to watch out for Grind Time's running game, and be patient on offense against a very good defensive team. No wonder this game is slated to be the finale one on the night, as it is promised to be a good one and should provide some good moments and memories down the line.
