After an action packed week one, the teams are hungry and ready for more basketball.

Eye Studio vs. Myodetox: Both of these teams picked up wins last week, and they’re both looking good coming into this week’s game. Last week, both of these teams didn’t get their rhythms going until late in the game, so both of their aims this week should be to get started early. Prediction to win: Eye Studio within 5.

LMPC vs. Superclub: Coming into this game, the defending champions are the favoured victors, but LMPC showed flashes of brilliance last week. LMPC’s aim should be to expand those flashes of brilliance (ball movement and tenacious defence to be exact) and they very well may take this game. Superclub should look to stay calm and collected, as they threw out a lot of wild shots last week. Prediction to win: Superclub within 15.

Practice?! Vs Trojans: Last week, Practice utilised their new talent and played beautiful transition offense. Their aim this week should be to stay collected and to repeat that performance. The Trojans should be looking to utilise their size and aggressiveness to get rolling early. If they keep up the intensity they know they can dish out, this game is theirs to win. Prediction to win: Trojans within 5.

Rise Tribe vs. NYR: Both of these teams are reeling back from disappointing losses last week. Fatigue got the best of Rise Tribe, but hopefully for this game they will have reinforcements. They showed great teamwork, communication, and hustle last week; so if they mimic that performance but with an expanded roster, this game will be theirs. NYR should be looking to utilise their size and slick ball movement this game to find openings in the defence, rather than throwing up wild shots like last week. Prediction to win: NYR within 10.

This season is shaping up to be one of the best yet; the competition is better than ever and each team is hungry for that coveted championship. What will happen this sunday night at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre? Stay tuned for more.
