WITH THE SCORE 50-50 AND 7 SECONDS ON THE CLOCK, GRIND TIME WAS ABLE TO FIND A WIDE OPEN ANDRE XAVIER FOR THE GAME WINNING LAY-UP WITH 2.1 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK...

Both teams left everything on the floor, but only one would emerge victorious and it was Grind Time. With the score 50-50 and 7 seconds on the clock, Grind Time was able to find a wide open Andre Xavier for the game winning lay-up with 2.1 seconds left on the clock.

Crane TO’s Nima Baeidfar had a tough look for the win, but could not connect from long distance. Baeidfar is known as the “Steve Kerr” of the league for his clutch shots, but it was not mean to be last night. Xavier was named Finals MVP for a great all around performance plus the game winning basket.

JA: "Can you explain what you were feeling when you got the ball under the basket for the game winning shot?"

AX: “I was surprised they left me so open so I just took my time and made the layup. All I was thinking after I made the bucket was just getting back on defense haha. I just want to S/O my teammates on a great season of team ball, It’s been a pleasure playing with a bunch of unselfish guys on the court. Also another BIG S/O to Coach Conway on his principles that always put us in a position to win!”

This game was as competitive as it could get. No team had control of this game at any point. Grind Time outscored Crane TO by 1 at half and repeated that effort in the 2nd half outscoring them by 1 again. Neither team shot over 40% and both struggled mightily from beyond the arc. With such a tight finish, you can’t help but look at the free throws missed for Crane. If Crane had done just a bit better from the line, this championship would be theirs.

Neil Isidro led Grind Time with 11 points with Xavier and Wells adding 10 a piece. Kareem Jackson led all players with 20 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists in the loss. Bennett had a solid game with 14 points.

S/O to both coaches Clayton Conway and Willy Phan for leading their teams to the championship game. From the combine to the draft to the trade deadline and the Finals, these teams we’re both great.

Stay tuned for game photos and game video!

Thanks to all the players, general managers, coaches and fans for supporting another successful On Point Free Agent League. We can’t wait until the new season in 2018.

The Combo Guards: Ep. 38 - "You're Crazy" feat. Dennis Lim of Eye Studio TO

The fellas went down to 'Eyes Studio TO' to talk hoops with Dennis Lim.
They discussed the Toronto Raptors, if they are exceeding expectations and if DeMar DeRozan is a top-5 shooting guard in the league?

The fellas debated whether or not the Houston Rockets would beat the Golden State Warriors in a 7-game series, is James Harden the MVP and are the refs getting too power hungry or do players complain too much?

During 'Facts and Foolishness" the guys discussed:

Should the Clippers trade DeAndre Jordan?
Should Carmelo Anthony come off the bench?
Was it smart to take LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA?

Enjoy!
