Rookie GM Norman Penola (Bugatti Boys) and veteran GM's Calvin Lee (Box Out) and Mike Myers (Investment Academy) made history last night with upset after upset after upset.

How did they do it?

Bugatti Boys

- They got some superstar play from Joel Sooden and Emeron Rodgers who combined for better than 50% shooting and 48 points

- Adam Murphy stepped up big time with a season best 14 along with 7 rebounds.

- Marlon Hamilton didn't have it going offensively, but didn't need to. His league best 9 dimes helped big time.

Investment Academy

- A team effort. Every single player contributed whether it be on the defensive end or offensive end.

- Offense out of nowhere. They haven't scored 60 in over a month and have only scored 60 twice season. Suddenly, everyone could shoot and they did it without one of their best players.

- Stepping up. Jacob Williams with a season best 10 and Sean Wong with  season best 15.

Box Out

- Proven Winners. D'Andre Hospedales and Nicholas Cruz have been battled test many times before and once again, when the season is on the line, these two came through. 22 each for this duo.

- Team basketball. 17 dimes on the night which helped get clean open looks. 9/21 from long range was also a big help. Everyone scored and did their part.

- They were able to slow down Jacobs a bit limiting him to 10 points. Without Sigua in the line-up, they were able to really zero in on stopping the league's best scorer.

Recap

Now before I praise the 3 General Managers that pulled this off, shout out to Preston Singh (SWISH), Clayton Conway (Grind Time) and Nima Baeidfar (Unruly) for great seasons. All played well during the regular season, but just fell short on Monday night. Definitely looking forward to next season and seeing you either on the court or coaching once again.

Rookie GM Norman Penola must have given his squad some Bugatti Boy luck with an impressive win against a very tough opponent. Penola knows how to win and his players play their hearts out.

Veteran GM Mike Myers.... I don't know how you did it again man? Without your only big man and maybe your best player you pull off a win against a team that was on a roll. Last season Myers did the same thing, taking the lowest ranked team to the Finals.

Veteran GM Calvin Lee... I know you wish you were out there, but this has to be a great feeling for you. It all seemed to make sense on paper, but it never came together in the regular season. With the season on the line, the guys you worked so hard to get on the same roster delivered!

Stay tuned on the last game to be played, Kawhi Not vs. Rapchaz.
