Juicy J vs. GBD

Two teams who will be battling it out for 4th position will be GBD and Juicy J. This is the game to win with both teams having a tough game to end the season. GBD is coming off a 3 point loss to #1 team in the league (The Reach) and they’re definitely kicking themselves for losing such a winnable game. Juicy J has to feel motivated to win this game after a blow out loss to TBD. Juicy J will need to do a better job on the defensive end to keep GBD’s offense in check.

Players to Watch: Ashly July has been quietly getting buckets for Juicy J and now leads them in scoring at 17.0 PPG. Juicy J will need all the offense they can get from July. Shaq Dover was quiet in his first few games but has exploded in his last two averaging 21 PPG on 60% shooting.

The Reach vs. SWAT

The Reach sits atop the standings while SWAT currently sits among the 5 way tie for 4th place. The Reach haven’t mathematically clinched but things look good for them right now. For SWAT, it’s all up in the air and these final 2 weeks are going to put them to the test with The Reach this week and Hong Shing to end the regular season. Time and time again SWAT has been able to find ways to win. Let’s see if they can pull off a victory against the top team in the league.

Players to Watch: It’s a classic match-up between to future MB Hall of Famers, Chad Bewley and Aaron Duncan. Both players have different roles than the roles they had many years ago.

TBD vs. Desta Training

After a 0-3 start TBD is arguably the hottest team in the league winning their last 2 games by an average margin of 23.5 points. The offensive output has been incredible averaging 115.5 PPG over this stretch and shooting the ball over 50%. Desta Training knows a lot about offense as well. Desta Training leads the league in points with an average of 112.8 per game. If both are feeling it, get ready for a high scoring, fast paced game. TBD leads the league in 1st half points while Desta Training leads the league in 2nd half points. This should be a great game.

Players to Watch: DeShawn Monaque – He’s coming off a 35 point performance where he drilled 7 three pointers. Dave Jankovic is TBD’s go-to-guy and is also coming off a 35 point game.

Hong Shing vs. SCF

SCF is an interesting story. They’ve been competitive in all of their games except for 1. As the “new” team to the league they’ve done well and would shake up the landscape if they could beat Hong Shing.  Hong Shing won’t be an easy task and definitely want to assert themselves early. Hong Shing will be extra motivated after losing two games in a row after starting 3-0. Expect Hong Shing to come out strong from tip-off.

Players to Watch: Shamar Bennette has been getting it done for SCF and doing so in a highly efficient manner. Bennette is averaging 17.2 points per game on 61.0% shooting. He will likely be matched-up with Christian Casimier who is averaging 21.0 points per game on 51.9% shooting. Both can shoot the three ball as well.
