Juicy J vs. TBD
Both teams have some good momentum going into Thursday’s match-up. TBD had n impressive blow out win over Hong Shing who had never lost and won by a whopping 20 points. Juicy J was able to grind out a 4 point win over SCF and get themselves back to the .500 mark. This is a big test for both teams.
A player to watch will be Dave Jankovic who absolutely went off scoring 35 points on 14/20 from the field. Jankovic leads the team in scoring at 19.7 PPG.
GBD vs. The Reach
The top ranked team The Reach will take on GBD this Thursday at HoopDome. GBD is in the middle of the pack with a 2-2 record and this game is crucial for them. The Reach is tied for 1st place and could move into sole possession of 1st with a win against GBD and Desta Training win over Hong Shing.
A player to watch is Kevin Otoo who is averaging 28.0 PPG but don’t forget about Chad Bewley who is among league leaders in virtually every category. For GBD, it’s been Matt Kokish who has been the most consistent scorer averaging a team best 18.7 PPG.
SCF vs. SWAT
Big time game for SCF who nearly won last week and the same can be said for SWAT who took a step back last week falling to 2-2. SWAT could also be without a key player with OVO so SCF needs to take advantage.
A player to watch is Brian Rouse who is averaging 27.0 PPG to lead SWAT. The Legend Aaron Duncan has also been playing tremendously well doing a little bit of everything on the court. For SCF, they’re a well balanced team that doesn’t rely on any one player, however their go-to-guy has been Shamar Bennette who is averaging a team best 21.5 PPG.
Hong Shing vs. Desta Training
Saving the best for last we’ve got Hong Shing and Desta Training locking up for what we anticipate to be a high scoring game. There is a possibility that both teams might be short with OVO this week, but either way we expect a high scoring output from both squads.
Both teams are in the Top 3 in scoring and both take a lot of threes and make a lot of threes. Expect both teams to fire up a lot of threes or take it to the basket in transition.
A player to watch is Desta’s Chevon Brown. Brown leads the league at a ridiculous 44.3 PPG. His likely opponent on the floor will be Ashton Graham who could be averaging more, but leads the team at 20.0 PPG.
