SWISH edge Grind Time in controversial game

Jevon Jacobs led Swish to a 65-56 win over Grind Time in an all-out war. SWISH shot a solid 44.4% from the floor en route to win number 4. Bobby Colorado also came up huge shooting 7-9 from the floor for 21 points. SWISH stays in the 2nd spot going into Week 6. For Grind Time this is their 4th loss of the season and although the calls didn’t go their way, there is certainly room for improvement on their performance. Michael Quayson led with 19 points but was the only player in double figures as the rest of the team shot a combined 28.5% from the floor.

The Investment Academy get a throwback performance from Michalski

Ryan Michalski still got a little left in the tank putting on a show with 17 points and 8 rebounds in a victory over the Bugatti Boys. Daniele Guarnaschelli was just as good with 17 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists. It actually came down to their accuracy from the three point range that made the difference. While they were fairly even across the board, they were able to drill 10/20 three point attempts for 50% compared to only 2/13 for BBB for 15%. Every single player contributed offensively and on the glass for Investment Academy which is a great sign for GM Mike Myers. BBB got a big-time game from Kevin Mervart who exploded for 17-10 and Emeron Rodgers with 18 but it just wasn’t enough on this night.

Kawhi Not survive the Rapchaz in wild game

Kawhi Not barely survived but held on strong with a 8-0 run to close out the game. Rapchaz fell into major foul trouble leaving them with only 3 players on the court for the final minutes. Milad Gulam led Kawhi Not with 18 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Kawhi Not was without Shaq Dover and did not have the offensive fire punch their used to having. Regardless, they find a way to win and pick up their 5th straight win while keeping their perfect record intact. Disappointing loss for the Rapchaz. Hakim Dahnoun with 18 points and 8 rebounds in a losing effort. Rapchaz fall to 1-4.

Nettey efficiently leads Unruly to W

We’re going to change his name to Kawhi Nettey after this game. He’s like Kawhi because he doesn’t waste any dribbles, doesn’t look to do anything fancy – he simply wants to go out and get buckets and does it in a quiet manner. Everytime Box Out came close, Nettey seemed to get a heart breaking bucket for Unruly. Nettey with 18 on 8/12 to lead the way. Unruly played very well from top to bottom with every player contributing on both ends of the floor. For Box Out, they fall to 1-4 on the season and it has a lot of people scratching their heads. On paper, this team looks like they should be 4-1 instead of 1-4, but they’ve still got a few more weeks to work out the kinks.
