SWAT vs. TBD

SWAT outlasts TBD in a grind it out victory 96-80. Brian Rouse continues on this terrifc run with 23 points on 11/20 to lead the men in green. Atill Williams added 18-8 and Denny McDonald chipped in with 17-8. SWAT shot a respectable 47.1% from the floor and outrebounded TBD 38-25. SWAT improves to 2-1 with their 2nd win in a row. TBD had some good performances but a few players struggled from the floor. They also got crushed on the boards which led to 2nd chance opportunities for SWAT. TBD drops their 3rd in a row and hope to get their first win in Week 4.

Desta Training vs. Juicy J

Desta Training’s offense is too hot right now. They’re leading the league in scoring and it’s not even close. Desta shot 55.4% from the floor and were absolutely relentless at taking the ball to the basket. Shakwon Barrett with a great all-around game with 35-7-8 and Chevon Brown with 38-4-4. Deshawn Montaque also added 21 and 7 dimes. Juicy J’s offense was pretty good too, actually outshooting Desta going 58.5% from the floor but the problem was on the defensive end and taking care of the ball. Juicy J coughed it up 17 times which often led to easy baskets for Desta. Ashly July and Northmann with 24 each and Evan Clavir with a near triple double putting up 11-8-10 in the loss.

SCF vs. GBD

With the score tied at 88 and the clock running out, Todd Bryce pulled up from 3 and knocked it down to give SCF their first W of the season while handing GBD a brutal loss. Bryce with 21 points and 10 rebounds and of course a clutch 3 to win it. 4 other players scored 13 or more for SCF in a balanced attack on GBD. Shaquille Dover had his best game of the season with 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 steals in the loss. GBD shot only 40% from the floor and hard to win against a team that shoots 52%. Both teams have identical records of 1-2 as they head into Week 4.

Hong Shing vs. The Reach

The Reach had full control of this game leading 53-35 at the end of the first, but Hong Shing would explode in the 2nd half outscoring The Reach 62-36 en route to their 3rd straight W. Ashton Graham with 25 points to lead Hong Shing and 4 others scoring in double digits. Both teams shot nearly identical at 44% but Hong Shing was able to get to the line a bit more and knock down a few more threes. Darnell Landon led The Reach with 21 points with 3 others scoring 14 or more. Hong Shing hopes to extend their perfect record to 4-0 next week while The Reach hope to bounce back after their first L.
