What. A. Game.

Bugatti Boys and Sunnybrook came into Tuesdays matchup ready to prove they were the best team in the division and each team gave it their all. It would eventually be Sunnybrook taking home the chip after a great performance by Leon Samuels with an 87-80 win.

The game started out, and really continued throughout at an almost frantic pace. Both teams were pushing every chance they got to attack their opponents in transition. There was a stretch of 8 consecutive baskets combined by each team in a matter of 3 minutes at one point in the first half. That shows the pace and the efficiency of both teams in its own, and they each continued that throughout the game. Bugatti boys were actually ahead most of the first half, backed by their quick striking offence and solid interior defence being provided by their bigs.

When the second half began, you could see Sunnybrook come out with a completely refocused mindset. They hit the ground running to start the half, and seemingly never looked back. They were able to close the gap that Bugatti grew to as much as 10, by midway through the quarter. The run was fueled by the incredible shooting of Samuels (14-18 FG 3-4 FT 6-9 3PT) and some timely stops on defence. Samuels was simply a man possessed tonight offensively, with Bugatti unable to find an answer for him going en fuego. While Samuels was the man all night, timely shooting from the likes of Adjei, Williams and Casmier forced Bugatti to keep from doubling Samuels. Bugatti were unable to put together that last run to close the gap late despite some impressive shot making down the stretch by Lagman and Chua. Bugatti no doubt have to be disapointed coming up short for a second straight season, and might feel that they let this one get away after a strong first half.

King Of The Court

Leon Samuels/G-F/Sunnybrook

Given that this was the finals, it seemed only right to conclude our season with one man being dubbed King of the Court. The Finals King of the Court was Sunnybrook's Leon Samuels, who brought his A game tonight and put up as impressive a performance as you will see in any finals. This man was on fire all night, and also provided some of his signature lockdown defence when it mattered most.

Combo Guards: Ep. 38 - "You're Crazy" feat. Dennis Lim of Eye Studio TO

he fellas went down to 'Eyes Studio TO' to talk hoops with Dennis Lim.
They discussed the Toronto Raptors, if they are exceeding expectations and if DeMar DeRozan is a top-5 shooting guard in the league?

The fellas debated whether or not the Houston Rockets would beat the Golden State Warriors in a 7-game series, is James Harden the MVP and are the refs getting too power hungry or do players complain too much?

During 'Facts and Foolishness" the guys discussed:

Should the Clippers trade DeAndre Jordan?
Should Carmelo Anthony come off the bench?
Was it smart to take LiAngelo Ball out of UCLA?

Enjoy!
